PROGRAMS

  PRE- INTERMEDIATE I AND II : Students will be able to acquire a level in
Spanish which will enable them to understand written or spoken sentences
and expressions, commonly used in subjects such as local geography,  the
weather, ethnic and demographic simple descriptions, short history facts,
descriptions of tourist spots, jobs, recreation, gastronomy, local festivities
and traditions, environment, sports, recreational and cultural events, local
politics, local news and local tourist activities. They will also be able to give
opinions and to write short compositions on such matters. This will be
accomplished in no more than two months. The students will learn about the
culture and the language at the same time and realize how much they are
related.
In this level, the students will be able to manage the present tense at ease
and also some verbs in past and future tenses.

INTERMEDIATE I AND II: In this level, the student will get a grasp of the
language while learning about the culture in the state. They will be able to
express ideas and give opinions in daily life subjects. They will be able to
talk about historical events, people’s idiosyncrasies, architecture and art,
they will also be able to describe events taking place around them.
They will be able to attend and understand conferences, listen to the radio
and watch television understanding most of it.  They  will also read texts in
Spanish, which are commonly read by junior high school students, with no
difficulty and also express written ideas about the subjects discussed in the
class with a wider range of verb tenses.
This level is divided in two parts. 80 hours each.
